| If you are working with an air freight forwarder or if you wish to have your shipment handled by a forwarder, call GCS first. GCS acts as a agent for pick-up and delivery of air freight for most air freight forwarders, nationwide. GCS will pick up any weight shipment from your dock and turn it over to the forwarder in either Cleveland or Columbus. GCS will also receive freight from the forwarders and deliver it to your dock. GCS works with over 300 different forwarders and can assist you in preparing the airbill and other necessary documents for any of them. Just call us. Counter to Counter Air Freight This is GCS's fastest way to ship a small package up to 70 pounds (within dimensional constraints). Your freight will be shipped via scheduled airlines and can be received at its destination the same day. This can be a matter of hours instead of a matter of days. GCS will arrange to have your freight picked up at your door or dock and driven directly to either Cleveland or Columbus airports where it will be turned over to the airline. GCS will review all airline schedules to your desired destination and will advise you of the best possible routing based on the time you wish your package to arrive. We will then prepare the necessary airline airbill. We will tell you on which specific flights your freight will travel and what time it is schedule to arrive at its destination. You can then arrange for the freight to be picked up at the destination airport by the consignee or GCS can arrange to have it delivered for you.
